The DeBarge family approached me with the hope of a new, fresh look for their wine and winery. While respecting their previous mark—Dr. DeBarge’s own calligraphy—this refreshing of the brand and label design brought the same playfulness and organic quality that they bring to their wine making. The goal they set before me was to have each label specific to the characteristics of the individual wine, yet clearly recognizable as the DeBarge brand from “three tables away.”
